About Josh

Josh is a US Army National Guard Sergeant on his second tour of duty in Iraq.

On this tour he will be a fobbit that deals with battalion supply.  The bittersweet result of this MOS is that he is on base every day.  It means that every day is a Monday.

On his first tour he ran patrol on convoys.  It was a terrifically dangerous job that he did well.  His first deployment started 22 May 2006 when he was sent to Camp Shelby for training as an infantryman.  He and his unit were part of a battery unit and Josh’s responsibility was as the unit’s expert in chemical weapons response (for example, we all learned what an NBC suit was).

Prior to serving his country overseas, Josh was a typical college student attending the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.  He was majoring in Biology.  What lead him to study biology was his interest in chemical biology.

Josh is originally from Kansas City, Missouri and starting at age 8, grew up around Monticello, Wisconsin.

Josh enjoys unicorns and long walks on the beach.  I made that last part up.
