It’s still hot and sandy here, and I’ve had some stomache issue for a few days…probably from the milk that I’ve been drinking that usually expires on the day I drink it. Anyways not much new here still just waiting for a plane. Hope everyone is doing well! Miss and love you all!

Well I might or might not be somewhere very hot that might or might not look like a dessert in the middle east. Battalion is being picky about what we put online, but you all know where I am. Hope everyone is doing well! Facebook works well where I am at now but my E-mail doesn’t so if you are trying to get ahold of me write me on FB. All my training is done here so I am just waiting to go “to the next level.” miss all of you! It’s 110-120 everyday BUT the sad thing is I like it better than Fort Hood. I really do like dry heat! I’ll take 120 and dry over 88 and humid anyday! Miss you all! Write more later…

Josh departed from the United States this morning on his way to Kuwait. The formal mobilization is underway. Travel safely my nephew and friend!

Well TX is hot and crappy and sometimes humid which I didn’t think it would be. I just read my old posts on here and was laughing and remembering the good old days. I promise to post more on here this go around!! We haven’t done a lot of training since we have been here, BUT that’s why I have had a job for the past two years! I met with an education counselor today, and was accepted to the American Military University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security which I will be starting once I get settled in Iraq. Can’t tell you when I leave or where I’m going just yet but I do know…hope all is well! I have a meeting in 15 mins so I should get a chew in and BS with my new deployment buddy SPC Shockley…HAHA

Chinese food? 15 minutes…

Well I’m seeing if I can post on here using my phone! Even though that will be shut off soon. Hope everyone is doing well out there! I got really sunburnt at the lake two days ago on our “activity” day. Other than that just trying to fight the boring days we have left here in TX. Will write more when I bet online soon! Hi hi,

Just thought I’d write an update on life in the US! It’s great being back…there have been some issues I’ve had to deal with since getting home, but other than that it’s been great. Julie and I got a new TV, couch, chair, ottoman, and soon a new bed. The place is coming together very nice. I’ll be putting some pics up ASAP so look for them. Since I’ve been home I’ve been to the Chiro for my back, Warped Tour, and tonight Julie and I are going to Motion City Soundtrack.

Josh arrived home yesterday at about 2 PM CDT. They drove from Indiana to Milwaukee where a Hero’s Welcome was staged. The commanders of the National Guard of Wisconsin were there as well as the Governor. At about 2:30 PM they were called to formation and after a few brief speeches were dismissed.

Following the ceremony, the families headed to Josh & Julie’s apartment for a little celebration with sandwiches and cake. It is hard to believe this 18 month journey is finally over.

It’s good to have him and the unit home.
